The gross hypocrisy of this galloping dictator Keith Christopher Rowley, whose intimate and pathological fractured relationship with the truth and his PNM-led Government’s increasingly authoritarian assaults on ordinary citizens continues.
This is the same Keith Rowley who, as Leader in 2012 had wholeheartedly supported the Section 34 Bill.
But now in Government, he has the gall to declare that there will be “No section 34 scandal with PNM” and that “The PNM government has operated with transparency and without scandal”.
Transparency and without scandal… For the past six years, his Government has been continually rocked by scandals, corruption and nepotism as it faces a series of national crises, covering multiple areas – in governance, in credibility, in health, in national security and in dealing with the economy.
His Administration has now bought the Presidency in utter chaos and the two MPs who form the Cabinet (the Prime Minister and Attorney General) are both accused of conspiracy and attempting to subvert the constitution.
It is important to reflect upon the words of then Leader of the Opposition now Prime Minister Keith Rowley on Section 34 of 2012, “This is a betrayal of the Parliament, this indecency, this outrage where a Government can mislead the Parliament; the most important person in the Cabinet is the Prime Minister and as “captain of the ship” she presided over an act to undermine to the good order of the country.”
In October 2009, then PNM discarded MP Keith Rowley told then Prime Minister Patrick Manning that the Udecott scandal was ten times worse than the Piarco Airport affair.
Eleven years later, the political interference and attempt to subvert and assault the constitution by the Police Service Commission, the President, Prime Minister and Attorney General makes Section 34 looks like a tea-party!
Citizens need to put aside partisan politics and call upon its unassailable and authoritarian Government to order, to account for verifiable facts and objective truths and reject the PNM’s alternative facts.
