MARCELLE TO REPLACE ‘COAL POT’ SCOTLAND
KEITH Scotland, who two years ago said people should fight hardship by going back to coal pots, will not be the People’s National Movement’s (PNM) next general election candidate for Port of Spain South.
The ruling party is replacing incumbent Scotland with 29-year-old attorney Kareem Marcelle, who was recently appointed an alderman in the Port of Spain City Corporation.
ROWLEY’S AWARD DONOR TO BE PNM CANDIDATE
PORT OF SPAIN-born, United States-based academic Dr. Wayne Frederick is billed to be a People’s National Movement (PNM) candidate in the forthcoming general election.
Under Frederick’s leadership, the university gave Rowley an honorary doctorate in May 2023.

FARIS Al Rawi, the showy politician who has represented San Fernando West since 2015, could find himself in a bitter re-election battle at the 2025 polls.
