A MEMBER of Parliament took home a total of $752,405.96 in 2023 for the rental of properties to government ministries.
Another MP got $225,378.48 for another property rental last year.
The Auditor General raised questions with the Ministry of Finance on these and various other high-expense financial dealings with the public’s purse.
In some instances, there were no responses, and in others, the explanations were inadequate.
Because of the Auditor General-Finance Minister debacle, taxpayers are finding out about questionable payments, suspicious contracts, lack of supporting documents and non-existent trading companies.
A spate of dubious dealings is being exposed.
More will emerge.
It is a 400-page report, after all.
