UNITED States President Joe Biden has praised an international charity organisation that is active in Trinidad and Tobago.
Biden wrote to Sewa International expressing appreciation for the group’s assistance in getting Americans vaccinated against Covid-19.
“Your efforts are not just saving lives,” the US President wrote, “they are helping us get our lives back.”
He stated that “together, we are making progress in our collective fight against Covid-19…”
Sewa TT is extremely active in the vaccination campaign in Trinidad and Tobago.
The group has partnered with volunteers and other partners, and, at the end of August, was responsible for almost 85,000 vaccinations.
Sewa, also spelt seva, means charity in Hindi.
