Why Karen never stood a chance, and…
- By Ken Ali
- . December 7, 2022
Karen Nunez-Tesheira, the main leadership challenger, had little pre-election activity and virtually no polling day machinery. In a David versus Goliath fight, Ms. Nunez-Tesheira was operating on a shoestring budget, with minimal media attention, and without an eye-catching supporting cast.

TALE OF TWO LEADERS – MIA AND M.I.A.
- By Ken Ali
- . December 2, 2022

Errol Fabien captures the nation’s cynical mood
- By Ken Ali
- . November 23, 2022
The double-meaning soca parang says a lot about the artiste and the public’s cynical mood. For one, Fabien appears to have broken a fairly recent unwritten code by urban artistes about not singing critical and risqué numbers on the People’s National Movement.

We need Bajan boss for our poverty crisis
- By Ken Ali
- . November 17, 2022
I AM confident that if Mia Mottley ran this town, commercial banks would not be pulling down billion-dollar profits while a majority of nationals live under the poverty line.

ROWLEY’S HYPOCRISY ON CLIMATE CHANGE
- By Ken Ali
- . November 16, 2022
PORT OF SPAIN was flooded at the time Planning Minister Pennelope Beckles-Robinson was telling the global climate change conference that Trinidad and Tobago is committed to ending the environmental crisis.
